No Longer Nomad

When I started this blog it was supposed to be my travel blog. As you can see I haven’t been able to keep up the promise I made to myself, for two reasons – I haven’t been traveling as much as I used to earlier and I no longer have an ambition to retire to travel.

Between traveling, learning new things, I’ve finally found something I like doing. Most of the people I’ve interacted with in the Nomad community either wanted to leave their jobs and travel because they hated their jobs or their bosses.

Plus traveling requires a lot of money, which I don’t have. This doesn’t mean that I won’t travel — only that the frequency of travel will reduce.

However, over the last few months I’ve realized that if I save and invest appropriately I can actually earn some good passive income.

I’ve just turned 30 and have been saving and recently investing for the last 7 years. Luckily for me, my investments have started yielding fruits and have started receiving income, though not much. When I disclosed this to my friends, I was surprised that not many have managed to save much and the last few weeks have gone into educating them on how to save and invest.

I will share some of my tips on this blog and also be somewhat transparent about my investments. I’m not saying that you should be following my investment tips, far from it. I hope what I share here can encourage you to save and invest.
